Software install DVD, data DVDs and serial numbers are available from the Jordan District Technology Specialists.
The program cannot be downloaded.
Serial numbers cannot be posted online. If you lose your install instructions that contain the serial numbers, please contact Bonnie Muir, bonnie.muir@jordan.k12.ut.us.
Students may not have a copy of ArcView for home use.
Your Jordan District tech will install this program in your lab for you. Please contact Bonnie Muir (567-8726) or Margo Shirley (567-8773)for installation requests or questions.
Below are screen shots of the install process. It takes about 15-20 minutes from start to finish. You will need internet access to register the program.
Step 1: Open CD
Step 2: CD Opens
Step 3: Select ArcGIS ArcView
Step 4: Notice about Microsoft NETFramework, Click OK
Step 5: Select Install ArcGIS Desktop
Step 6: Select Next
Step 7: Accept agreement, Click Next
Step 8: Choose Typical installation type, Click Next
Step 9: ArcView destination folder: Click Next
Step 10: Python destination folder: Click Next
Step 9: Ready to install, Click Next
Step 9: Program begins installation
Step 9: ArcViewDesktop is installed. Click Finish.
Step 10: Click on Register Now
Step 11: Choose First Option
Step 12: Register using the Internet
Step 13: Enter Registration Information
Step 14: Enter Registration Number
Step 15: Choose second option
Step 16: Enter Registration Numbers for Extentions
Step 17: Choose first option, then click Next.
Step 18: After successful registration, Click Finish.
Registration numbers are not posted online.
